Job Description:

This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of a competency-based continuing education program that supports the nurses in all specialty areas towards improvement in clinical practice.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Expert Clinical Knowledge: Possessing a high level of clinical knowledge and expertise in a specific area of nursing practice, such as critical care, oncology, or pediatrics. This includes staying up-to-date with current best practices, guidelines, and advancements in the field.
  • Resource and Mentorship: Serving as a resource and mentor for other nurses and healthcare professionals, providing guidance, education, and support in their clinical practice. This may involve conducting training sessions, sharing knowledge and expertise, and assisting with complex patient cases.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Contributing to the development and review of clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensuring adherence to standards of practice, regulatory requirements, and professional guidelines.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective care coordination and continuity for patients. This includes facilitating communication between healthcare providers, advocating for patients, and ensuring that care plans are implemented appropriately.
  • Quality Improvement: Participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects within the clinical setting. This may involve analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and safety.

Job Requirements:

  • AND BLS
  • NLT 6 year’s clinical experience post qualification in an appropriate & relevant healthcare settings and Positive written references which must identify specific responsibilities as a clinical resource nurse.
  • Degree in Nursing (minimum two (2) years course duration) AND Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia
  • Bachelor degree in nursing OR
  • MSc in nursing education
  • AND valid/current national license.
