An opportunity has arisen for Junior Sous Chef in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are: Assist Sous Chef in supervision of all colleagues engaged in the kitchen.
- Along with Sous Chef, establish job methods, supervise and correct, if necessary, cooking standards to maintain a high quality of food and service.
- Liaise with the Chief steward to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all kitchen areas.
- Plan weekly rosters and review daily based on operations needs.
- Attend daily meetings with the Executive Sous Chef as required.
- Assist Sous Chef in planning menus, recipes and test samples along with the Executive Sous Chef.
- Write specific and accurate product specifications and standard recipes.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.
- Completed kitchen apprentice or chef’s training course
- Good level of English both written and verbal
- Experience in a similar position in a 5-star Hotel
- Creativity and exceptional culinary skills
