Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Marketing and Communications for Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. The main purpose of this role is to develop and manage comprehensive and integrated Marketing and Communication strategies for Burj Al Arab, ensuring alignment with the luxury positioning and global identity of Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts and achievement of commercial targets. This role will lead all aspects of marketing and communications (i.e., for rooms, food and beverage, spa, C&I) across multiple channels including PR, press trips, media and influencer engagements, luxury brand collaborations, social, sponsorships, partnerships, digital and performance marketing etc.). Onboarding, development and retention of high-quality marketing and communications talent for the hotel. Candidate is also an ambassador of the excellence of the service delivered in the hotel with ensuring all suppliers are provided with a warm, friendly, courteous, informative and efficient service in all areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation and efficiency in all marketing and communications efforts, identifying opportunities for process improvements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with corporate and hotel-level commercial teams to develop integrated marketing communications plans and campaigns designed to drive additional volume and average daily rate (ADR) during key travel and need periods.
  • Collaborate with the hotel ExCom team in developing, executing, and optimizing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with the brand positioning and commercial objectives of the hotel.
  • Create and manage budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Represent the hotel during annual commercial and budget presentations, and monthly commercial reviews.
  • Conduct regular competitive analyses to identify marketing and communication opportunities and market differentiators.

Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this role you will have at least 8 years of working experience in a similar role in a luxury five-star hotel environment. Demonstrated local and international PR experience, delivering luxury partnerships and collaborations. Proven experience in developing and managing integrated marketing and communications strategies and budgets. You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language is advantage. Knowledge of hotel operating systems is a must. Your experience in handling guest requests and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential.
