Job Description:
To develop and drive the strategy for assigned area of responsibility in order to deliver sustained growth and revenue and deliver customer-centric value proposition in line with ADCB’s strategy
Job Responsibilities:
- Translate the strategy into operational business plans for the short, medium and long term within the department(s) and ensure that performance is monitored, reported and delivered and necessary actions are taken to achieve the strategy and plans
- Develop and maintain profitable and sustainable business relationships with key stakeholders for assigned area of responsibility both locally and regionally in order to achieve individual financial performance targets and contribute to budgeted business targets
- Develop alternative strategic financing options for clients and assist in structuring new financing transactions for existing clients in order to meet client objectives
- Maintain credit borrowings of client relationships to an acceptable level in order to mitigate credit risk
- Manage employees and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, learning and development to ensure high levels of engagement, and competence, a motivated work environment and to maximise employee contribution to business performance
- Manage account planning and strategy for key clients, as well as identify and develop cross-selling opportunities in order to increase cross-sell ratio
- In conjunction with, and as required by the Chief Officer of the Group, contribute to the formulation, implementation and delivery of the Group’s strategy in line with the ADCB’s vision, mission, values and priorities
Job Requirements:
- At least 15 years of experience within wholesale banking of which at least 5 years within the Financial Institutions division with a strong understanding of business development function and customer solutions, related credit risk, investment appraisals, financial modelling within Wholesale Banking and legal / regulatory requirements
- At least 3 years of management / leadership experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or Law
