Senior IT Security Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Security Engineer to join our team in Saudi German Health Group in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our information systems and data by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures. The Senior IT Security Engineer will also be responsible for managing security incidents and ensuring that security policies and procedures are followed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies and make recommendations for improving our security posture
• Update and maintain security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Review vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security risks
• Configure and maintain security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software
• Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
• Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirement
• educating a company’s employees on correct data use and compliance
• monitoring a company’s ongoing ability to remain data compliant
• Configure and maintain security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software
• Respond to security incidents
• Conduct security awareness training for staff members
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security controls are integrated into the design and implementation of new systems and applications

Job Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of security technologies and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software
• Strong understanding of security standards and regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR
• Experience with security incident response and management
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, preferably in the healthcare sector
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable
