Teaching Assistants

Job Description:

All teaching and leadership staff will be UK-qualified and experienced international school teachers and leaders. The school will open for learners from FS1 to Year 8 in the founding year, growing subsequently each year to offer a through school curriculum within six years from its opening.GEMS Metropole School is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant for an immediate start.

Job Responsibilities:

• You will cover class for short periods of time and develop familiarity with relevant aspects of the curriculum including literacy, numeracy and phonetics.
• Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting with reading related activities, running small group activities inside or outside and preparing the classroom activities and the supporting documents.
• You will also be responsible to manage the cupboards stock and take children to toilets when required.

Job Requirements:

• previous experience in a similar position or working with children.
• basic IT skills.
• a good level of general education especially in Mathematics and English.
