Team Leader – Food and Beverage

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader to join the Food and Beverage Services team in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The main purpose of this role is to assists the Outlet Manager and/or Assistant Outlet Manager to plan, organize and supervise all processes of the outlet and provides hands-on support to food and beverage colleagues to ensure the outlet provides quality service that is consistent with the SBUs Standard Operating Procedures and achieves maximum revenue and profit in line with budgeted and forecasted projections. The candidate will work in a variety of air-conditioned environments such as restaurants. She/he may be required to work in split-shifts and late-night shifts. Candidate is also an ambassador of the excellence of the service delivered in the hotel with ensuring all suppliers are provided with a warm, friendly, courteous, informative and efficient service in all areas. Your key responsibilities will include:
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides specialist advice to customers and colleagues on food and beverages.
- Supervises all aspects of food and beverage quality, service and hygiene and escalates concerns to Management.
- In the absence of an Outlet Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager takes responsibility for operational issues.
- Overlook Pool bar operation.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and respond to customer feedback and complaints.
- Preparing daily log reports and presenting them to the higher management.
- Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner in case any complaint arises.
- Planning and delegating tasks to the staff and ensuring that they work according to the compliance of the restaurant business.

- Ensures that an effective link is maintained between kitchen and service areas.
- Supervises the level, consistency, and quality of table and/ or counter service of all menu items.
- Ensures that all colleagues adhere to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
- Consistently monitors quality of food and beverages being served and service quality, escalating any major problems/ complaints to Management.
- Actively promotes the use of upselling techniques within outlet to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.
- Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah International Quality Management System.
- Provides hands-on support and assistance to colleagues to ensure the highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests.
- Conducts team briefings, meetings, and trainings as directed by Management.
Job Requirements:
- You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language is advantage. Knowledge of hotel operating systems is a must.
- Your experience in handling guest requests and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential.
